I am NOT a psychiatrist, but what you are describing could be OCD- Obsessive Compulsive Disorder. Why don't you Google it, and then make a decision regarding what to do, if you seem to match the description.
Your question is still on, and I'm concerned. I was diagnosed with OCD 15 years ago, and I know what it took me to go to a doctor. I also live next door to a woman who has it, too. Are you aware that it doesn't get better? It is insidious! It permeates your life until you have trouble functioning. It never goes away, it just changes. Have you thought of you children, if you have any? They will be affected. Have you thought of your husband? It can't be fun living with you. I am not writing this to upset you, just to make you think. If you do not seek professional help your life will be ruined. OCD will take over, and you'll have nothing left. Believe, it does. My OCD is no where near as severe as yours, but I have trouble every day. So does my neighbor. She is a compulsive gambler. Really! She cannot stop buying lottery tickets.l She has no boots or winter hats, or coats. But, she has lottery tickets. She has the cleanest drains in town because she spends hours, with a piece of wire, cleaning her drains. She will spend 3 hours cleaning her kitchen floor, on her hands and knees. Just to make sure there isn't a mark on it. I am a counter. I count EVERYTHING. The steps upstairs, the number of blinks my blinkers make at a red light, and on and on and on. Just so you know, OCD is a symptom of depression. I know where mine came from. This makes it easier to deal with. I have other actions, but I don't want to gross you out. Believe me, I have lots of others. If you want a friend who understands, give me your email. If not, lots of luck! You are going to go throug plenty before you decide you need professional help. By the way, I KNOW it took a lot for you to write the question.

I was once the same way until I drove myself into a depression and finally said, Well, a hundred years from now, will I be remembered for what a spotless house I had? The answer was 'no.' I am still tidy but I don't get compulsive about it.

Maybe you could try rearanging things in your house, like moving tables to different areas. You might like the change an won't worry so much as to put everything int the right place, only to make it look good.
Or you could take a vacation, stay in a hotel where they do everything for you.
