I heard many rumors about a new handheld model and successor of the psp. Is it true? I really want to know because i don't want to waste my savings in a console that is about to be replaced in a year or less.

I heard many rumors about a new handheld model and successor of the psp. Are the rumors about a psp2 or psp lite true? I really want to know because i don't want to waste my savings in a console that is about to be replaced in a year or less.

Yes there is talk about a psp2 but it is not confirmed only (Rumored) yet I think if they do It will be 2 to 5 years from now. It will not be 1 year from now.
It is just a guess no one really knows at this point
I would go for it unless you will wait at leaset 3 to 5 years from now, and this is if they do come out with one.

the rumors are fake i got a friend who works at a gamestop i asked him and said theres no info on a new psp you might wana buy a ps3you can play psp games on it and its geting cheaper so get a psp or ps3 its worth it but the psp games take a little more then a 1min. to load ds is faster so consider a ds also if your in to faster game play then alot of psp games peace out yall

Dude, you can buy the psp now. They do speak about a new psp but like the other guy that answered you , it will come out in a few years. So enjoy the psp now ;).

i would buy it now. this is because you could probably have enough $$$$$$$ saved up to buy the new version of the psp when it comes out.

i want a nintendo ds lite ooooooooooooooo anyway get it there both different and wait get some more money and get dah new one but play dah psp tell ya go crazy dhin ya be happy and exited about the new game

You really need to rethink your purchase. The PSP is a worthless system. No decent games, lousy interface, and way too many bugs.

I had a PSP it has an internal software upgrade. this means (in my opinon) that you will be able to by discs to upgrade it during it's first Generation,buy away.
