as well as myself there are 2 other users on my home pc, i have moved all the music files from the internal drive to my external HD. now when i open itunes on my log-in the folder is copied back to the int drive but on the other users itunes runs with the external drive obvioulsy the idea of using the ext drive being to free up space on the pc but i can't seem to get this to happen on my own settings. any ideas???

Sounds like you are using Offline Files option for file replication (intended for Mobile users with docking stations containing hard drives or linked to files on a network drive that have to be copied when the mobile user returns)...

Check your 'Music' folder settings -

Yes you can run games from the external hard drive, sometimes it will not preform at 100% since it is connected through a USB port (anyone tells you they are super fast they lied) I am not even going to bother reading most of that but after you make the move , Do a simply De frag on your computer it will clear up most everything and condense alot of it. Happy trails
