Children are our future. There are many children that watch the Simpsons and like Bart Simpson. Television really has an impact and often influences a child's behavior. When a child looks up to and likes a character on TV like Bart Simpson who has an underachiever attitude, they often mimic their behavior. If there is an overwhelming percentage of children that take on this behavior, it will deconstruct American society because we need people that who have the attitude of wanting to achieve and excel to keep this county great.

Simple, Bart's an underacheiver, and he becomes cool. Thus, people see him and emulate him, and underachieve in their own lives.
