Bret "Hit Man" Hart (adopted from boxer Thomas Hearns), "The Excellence of Execution" (originally dubbed as such by the late Gorilla Monsoon) and perhaps the most resounding, "The best there is, the best there was, and the best there ever will be" (derived from the 1984 film The Natural, which starred Robert Redford).

You have to remember, alot of fans on here did not ever actually SEE Bret Hart wrestle, in his prime (which was in the late-80's to early 90's) and mostly all of them did see Benoit in HIS prime. If you look at their entire bodies of work, you're right, Hart is clearly superior. But if you're 12 years old, you simply have no way of accurately being able to compare the two. That's why so many fans say Benoit > Hart. EDIT: Just look @ the comment right above me as more proof. Benoit "had more title reigns" than BRET HART?!?! Come on people go to Wikipedia or something. It's not even close, Bret had so many more title reigns than Benoit.

I am old enough to have watched both wrestlers. In my opinion, Curt Hennig was the better technical wrestler, but Brett Hart was the showman and presence that Hennig never achieved. Brett Hart overall was the better wrestler in that he did all things in and out of the ring well.

Curt Hennig was a better wrestler and a better interview. Hart was dull on the mike and barely interesting as a wrestler. Goldberg did us all a big favor taking him out.

Hmm that's a good one. In a story line it would be Bret Hart for sure. In an actual shoot match I think it would have been great to see if you can appreciate that sort of thing. They were both technically sound mat wrestlers and both great mic men too.

R.I.P. Curt Henning

Bret Hart will crush Mr. Perfect. Bret Hart is the master of submission and lets not forget he had the best balance of finese and power... Look how he fights... i have to disagree

Curtis Michael Hennig (Mr. Perfect).

He was the best wrestler in his day!!!!!!!

He is also Antoinette "Nicesty Girl's" youngest daughter Samantha's biological father.

it is Mr. perfect hands down. Bret had 6 or 7 moves he did every match. once he did one you knew what was coming next and then next after that. to predictable. just watch 3 or 4 of his matches and you will see what i mean. just like cena, the rock and hogan. not to say i don't like any of those guys, or that they will not be and are not legends, but you know what moves you are going to see with them and what order they come in.
