Like any other sport, you can have interesting, exciting performances and performances that are not worth remembering?

On the good days I have seen stroke players who were aggressive and entertaining with flashing bats and delicate strokes through small gaps in the field. I have also been entertained by cerebral spin bowlers who engage top flight batsmen and pacers who deliver a ball at close to 100 mph only to have it dispatched with the tiniest flick of the wrist.

To appreciate cricket I believe the spectator must understand the nuances and subtleties of the game. A test match may include four innings spread over five days that are divided into three two hour sessions daily. Some days you will watch all day to get one gem of a stroke and that one stroke is something you remember for a long time, and the wait will have been worth it.

Well cricket is considered to be a religion in India. So worshipping and devoting time to your religion cannot be considered bad.
Moreover, watching cricket on television or listening to commentary on the radio depends completely upon the individual.
There are certain people who like enjoy watching the live action on the television or from the ground and there are certain people who enjoy listening to the commentary.
There are certain times as well when you have to listen to the commentary as there is no television like when you are driving or when you do not have access to television in office.
Moreover, with the advent of cell phones, listening to commentary on the radio or getting regular cricket updates has become much easier.

It is all depending upon the individual. Those who are ardent cricket lovers would prefer to watch the cricket match by buying tickets by paying huge amounts and those who cannot afford to buy tickets will prefer to wacth the match on television even by taking leave. However, people who has got just nominal interest in cricket would prefer to hear the commentary on radio instead of sitting in front of T.V. by wasting his time to watch the match.
