You sure Thailand is the Pearl of The Orient?? Don't think so. My school text books said it's suppose to be Penang, located in MALAYSIA. Captain Sir Francis Light, founder of The British colony in Penang in 1786. What has Thailand got to do with Malaysia, apart from the fact that these two countries are neighbours.

One of the central cities here has been dubbed "the @$$h*le of the Universe". But that thing is probably as old as the hills, and quite meaningless.
