whenever i watched the disney channel show "that's so raven", the lead who is raven kept on using the word "tripping". i understand that it's a slang, but what does it mean actually?

It can be interpreted as "mistaken"... but a more accurate representation i suppose would be "crazy"

like if someone said "He must be trippin" it's basically like saying "that guy doesn't know what he's talkin about"

I say it's used for various things such as acting stupid, overreacting, being funny, just out of the norm. Like when a girl accuses a guy of cheating he may say you're trippin, or let's say someone is dancing all crazy just to be funny, same thing, someone may say you're trippin. Get it!? Hope I helped.

When people take acid or LSD (illegal drugs) they are "tripping". So it means seeing or believing something crazy. Like if you looked at me and said " I see two of you" and I would say "You must be tripping" meaning you are seeing things that are not there. Like saying you must be crazy.

Either a person on drugs or just acting stupid/goofy. For instance, "Dude, are you tripping?" or "Man, you're trippin'!". Like that.

Trippin means like, freakin out. Or something along those lines...
