Write letters and more letters. I´m not talking about e-mails either. Letters typed and with a stamp, sent to as many congressmen or senators that you can find the addresses to. A written letter, is written PROOOOOF that there was a comment left in the comment/complaint box. If people see enough of it and see it enough, sooner or later, it WILL be heard. If it is heard for long enough, it WILL become an issue. And an issue being around long enough WILL start the ideas for change. Good luck. Love and Respect.

I believe that there you add your voice to many Americans and None-Americans voices to say NO to this polices. When your sounds are high enough to be heard, they will take effect.
To Leaha,
Regarding the 16 min video, I haven’t watched it all. Because it’s obvious that it includes a lot of directed-lies to serve political purposes. The picture is not that dark. If you believe of globalization and global village, you have to understand and accept others rather than fighting them, making “global wars”.
That’s why the Bush’s policy of wars does not bring peace, “or freedom” to the US or the world. How can Bush claim that he will spread the freedom and democracy in the world and he lost them in his country. The answer is simply, it is another lie. Bush’s wars only bring more wars conflicts, and death.
Thus, I totally understand why many people in the United States and all over the world call it the “the policy of disasters”.

I'm afraid that there is really nothing that you can do about it. Even those majority in congress who got elected by wide margins have no say. They are powerless to prevent the President in whatever he decides. Although we Americans are shouting to the whole world that our form of democratic government is the best, that we have freedoms that no other countries have, the truth is that people's voice is never heard in our government. When all the power is bestowed upon the President, who is the sole "decider" of government policies, then this is no better than an authoritarian or dictatorship rule. The American democratic system of government had become the government of the few, and not by the majority. In essence, our government is called democratic in name only, but authoritarian in its practices.

Yes, but know one is willing to do so. When the baby voomer stopped the Vietnam war, they were protesting everyday in the streets. Riots broke out. THey were willing to risk their lives to be heard. Know, we just carry signs and ask to honk if we want to end the war. I haven't seen much of that lately either. If you want to be heard , you must do something to embarrass America. Hunger strike might help. If you are willing to suffer and die to make a point, then the world would not question your conviction and realize that the people voice was not heard. ALso for you to note, It helps when there are a lot of people that is willing to join. The President doesn't care what the people think. He cares about his appearance.

The 2006 Congressional elections was as far as we can go in order to hold Bush's war ideas into check. Unfortunately, the Republicans in the Senate are so afraid to identify themselves with supporting the war effort that they again have voted down even a non-binding resolution so we can all see who supports and does not support Bush. That's where the hope lies as far as stopping him. Congress can cut off financial support for the surge, but they won't dare cut off funding for the existing troops in Iraq or Afghanistan. That would be political suicide for anyone to support. We can't leave them stranded. Bush is probably the most conservative president we have had in history. He's arrogant, doesn't respond to criticism or to the majority of Americans' opinions, only listens to "yes" men and women, & he is prolonging the war--a civil war--to try to preserve his legacy. There is no intellectual or rational basis to continue the war. Unfortunately, he's our president until 2009. Maybe more voters will wake up & say the one word that he has to now hear himself: "ENOUGH".

First off pull your head out of the sand. Im a soldier and im in the sand box right now. It really pisses me off the hear crap like this from ignorant people. Every time we go out on a convoy women and children flock to our humvee and thank us for being there. Children want to play with us and the men wave at us. War crimes? Those were performed by sadam, it was called genocide. Deprivation of civil rights? Do you feel that your civil rights, which myself and my fellow soldiers defend FOR YOU, are in jeoprody? You really need to see all the facts before you spout off like this. Its easy to avoid confrontation, to run and hide and let the bully win. Good thing our president is strong in his commitment and people like you arnt running things.

My suggestion is to take 16 minutes to watch this video, from New Jersey. It gave me quite the education. I think it's important for everyone to see it and maybe they can understand where this government is coming from.

Oh, about your comments?? My family is fighting for this country and everyones freedom. Lets show a little bit of respect, okay? If Clinton would have done that...what would your opinion have been? And if he'd taken time to concentrate on it...maybe 9/11 wouldn't have happened.

That's a no brainer. All that has to be done is to puit both of Georges' daughters in uniform, stick a rifle in their hot little hands and ship them off to Iraq. The war would be over that afternoon.
