We are still able to protect ourselves from UV rays. First of all sunscreen sunscreen sunscreen! To protect from UV, UV-A, UV-B use a wide spectrum sunscreen containing titanium oxide & a high spf level (there are now many great organic mineral based sunscreans). To answer your (& many of our) concerns about polution & the ozone...unfortunately due our worlds growing population it will be extreemly difficult to realisticly stop pollution. The good news is UV-C rays are still absorbed by the earth, the only way to encounter these rays is through artificial radiation.
I hope this is of help! Just remember even if it is cold & cloudy wear your sunscreen.

There are various sunscreen lotions available with UV rays blocking capabilities. If the ozone layer broke down, then I guess we will turn into nocturnal beings. We can sleep during the day and be active during the night.

Cover your body when you go out in to sun. Use either Photgray or plastic lenses for spectacles. Use Sunscreen creams and lotions for exposed skin. And yes, minimise the pollution, so that the ozone layer can renew itself.
