Here is a good trick...
When you hear a song you like, try to memorize some of the lyrics. Once you get more than a few words (so about 5+), search those words + lyrics.
ex.
You hear, ' with or without you, i can't live, with or without you' on the radion and don't know who it is/ name of song.
You would search = with or without you i can't live lyrics
You will probably get a few different songs, so read some of the lyrics aloud and you should be able to find out which one is right. This usually doesn't take much longer than 5 minutes altogether.
