I use all 3 banks. I prefer Bank of America. Their online banking is really good (I like the BillPay feature). The checking account is free as long as you have one direct deposit a month. It's an international bank, so if you go to Spain, for example, you can find a BOA.

Customer service is as expected from a big bank (not as user-friendly as small home-town banks), but they're very professional. ATM's are easy to find.

Hope that helps!

wash mut has free checks, free ckg. not sure what else. but i HAVE bank of america and they charged me a OD fee for a check that cleared at the same time as my husband direct deposit and won't reverse it. We NEVER go over in our account, but they still refused. I think they are too big to care about people. But they are ALL over the country..if tyou travel..if not i'd say WaMU.

I agree. WAMU. Bank of America screwed me back in my college days. I have yet to have (or hear of) any problems with them.
