Do you like cats?

No, there pee & poop stinks worse than any other animal and the smell won't ever go away from carpets! They are not loyal at all! My dog can catch mice as good as any cat! She goes outside (doggy door) all on her own.

I like both cats and dogs together. I try to not have a dog over medium size so that the cat is not abused by the dog. I never have had a cat declawed. I think this is mean and none of my dogs ever had any problems with being swatted past the first week of learning how to dodge. My cats have always been allowed to go out into the world to mouse and they have many times brought home a nice juicy mouse to share with the dog. Which I have always kept as an indoor pet that is let loose in the yard and taken for walks on a leash. Needless to say the dog isn't interested in the mouse but the cat don't seem to care.. it just brings home another one. If either the cat or dog is grown and one is a baby, it is best to be with them while they are playing together at first so you can take a swat at a dog or cat that is playing too harshly with the young one.

I have often thought that only the people with most needy egos favor dogs above cats. Dogs are adoring no matter what happens and will be at the ready to lick your face and follow you anywhere. Cats are more aloof and while they adore you, they give you space to be your own self more than dogs.

How do you think about a bird? Is a bird a good pet? A fish? A hampster? A horse? So many pets, with so many personalities. and to think there is a person who would be best suited for each one.

Why don't you like cats? I've known plenty of cats that are just as affectionate and faithful as dogs...and I've known some dogs that were unfriendly. If you assume that cats are going to be aloof and unfriendly then maybe you don't act with them in a way that lets them show their affectionate side. They all have different personalities, like all animals...and people.
It's true that cats are generally quieter than dogs...you need to approach them more gently. The next time you're with someone who has a pet cat, try getting to know the cat too.

I like cats and have 2 of them. I had dogs as a child and tried having 2 dogs a few years ago but it didn't work out.

I love cats and am always curious as to why some people are so virulent in their hatred of cats. I am not saying that you hate them that much but some people do even to the point of purposely running them over. I don't understand hatred of any particular animal unless perhaps you were attacked and mauled by a rabid pack of the hated animal. I do not trust cat haters that much I will say

Chihuahua's are the only dog I do not like all Chihuahua's should wiped out. Cats are all right I had cat once. My wife has a very old cat coming up to 19yrs old she is alright.

People who can not stand cats are usually control freaks
Dogs will let you control them
Cats will not and are very independent ...Cats own you you do not own the cat
People who like cats are very secure with not having to control things ...Because they have more control over their lives

I love cats Dogs ...People only cause suffering Animals just offer unconditional love
