I guess that depends. Does your best friend know about this? If yeah and he's ok with it then no, they're over. If they don't know then as a best friend you should talk to them about it. You owe them that. They may feel awkward that their best friend and ex-wife are dating. But talk it over with the best friend, it's the safest bet. Take it from there.

If she is your best friend then she should already know about it, and depending on the reasons there are no longer together also is going to have a factor in if it is wrong or not, if you know he wasnt good to her, than you should stay away. But if it ended because of the things she did wrong than its different.

My first response is yes, if she is truly your best friend then her ex, should be off limits.
As it should be with all of your ex's.
I am sure this has to be a burden on your friendship...you need to decide in the long run...which is more important your friendship with her or a growing relationship with him.
I would talk to her....clear the air...and go from there.
