Spend more money on the strings --- the proper alloys will help.
As for advice at the best guitar shops in your area. The pros in the area know what works.
I used to wipe my old Guild with lemon oil (that was when they made guitars out of wood) and I would hit the strings with an equally light film to prevent oxidation.
Good luck.

possibly your place is greater humid than your chum's? save wiping them down, and placed the guitar away interior the case once you at the instant are not utilizing it. you will possibly be able to attempt putting slightly chalk (definite, that blackboard stuff) on your guitar case, because of the fact it absorbs humidity. i might wrap it in a textile or make slightly textile baggie for it so it does not get something of your stuff chalky. be specific to alter it each so many times. There are different moisture absorbers available, too -- you will possibly have the skill to locate some in a organic nutrition shop.

Usually it is the acid in your skin that affects corrosion on musical instruments. Wipe down the strings after playing with a soft cloth. Finger ease will also help (oil based).

another great option to avoid most of that would be to pick up a cheap dehumidifier from a local store, cheap effective and you should only have to empty the water in it once every day or two depending on how humid it really is.
