On April 13, 2029
It was an article in USAToday, check it out, 1 in 60 chance of hitting us. Here's an excerpt:
An asteroid that has a small chance of hitting Earth in the year 2029 was upgraded to an unprecedented level of risk Friday, Dec. 24. Scientists still stress, however, that odds are further observations will show the space rock won't be on a collision course with the planet.
The risk rating for asteroid 2004 MN4 was raised Friday by NASA and a separate group of researchers in Italy.
The asteroid's chance for hitting Earth on April 13, 2029 has now been categorized as a 4 on the Torino Scale. The level 4 rating — never before issued — is reserved for "events meriting concern" versus the vast majority of potentially threatening asteroids that merely merit "careful monitoring."
The Dec. 24 update from NASA states:
"2004 MN4 is now being tracked very carefully by many astronomers around the world, and we continue to update our risk analysis for this object. Today's impact monitoring results indicate that the impact probability for April 13, 2029 has risen to about 1.6%, which for an object of this size corresponds to a rating of 4 on the ten-point Torino Scale. Nevertheless, the odds against impact are still high, about 60 to 1, meaning that there is a better than 98% chance that new data in the coming days, weeks, and months will rule out any possibility of impact in 2029."
Ok I just read the other guy's answer below mine. CRAZY! we are both right! What are the odds of 2 different asteroids on a collision course with us on the same date but different years! That is amazing. My answer and his are both correct with different asteroids. CRAZY!

I just read an article about this where it put the chances of impact MUCH lower than 1 in 60. I'm not sure which is correct, but this one said the chances of impact were 1 in 45,000... Also, this story puts the year at 2036, not 2029. I'll copy the relevant portion of the story...

U.N. urged to take action on asteroid threat
By Irene Klotz
Mon Feb 19, 10:34 AM ET
SAN FRANCISCO (Reuters) -
An asteroid may come uncomfortably close to Earth in 2036 and the United Nations should assume responsibility for a space mission to deflect it, a group of astronauts, engineers and scientists said on Saturday.
Astronomers are monitoring an asteroid named Apophis, which has a 1 in 45,000 chance of striking Earth on April 13, 2036.
Although the odds of an impact by this particular asteroid are low, a recent congressional mandate for NASA to upgrade its tracking of near-Earth asteroids is expected to uncover hundreds, if not thousands of threatening space rocks in the near future, former astronaut Rusty Schweickart said.

The link may not be good for very long, but I'll put it up anyway.

we could get previous the Mayan twentieth December, 2012 first... inquire from me after that! LOL... In all honesty, I attempt to no longer think of roughly that kind of ingredient. I truthfully have a youthful family participants and prefer to pay interest on the right here and now. that is much greater significant to stay in the 2d than to stay in concern of the destiny and all its opportunities. I truthfully have found out this in the final 300 and sixty 5 days - and that i locate it a techniques much less complicated to believe in God - regardless of occurs, occurs.
