the first movie was a 77 trans am special edition firebird (2nd year for that) the 2nd movie was a 81 turbo trans am an the 3rd movie was a 83 special edition trans am firebird. but in the 1st movie the car was not really a production car yet it was a test to see if people would like it,after people saw the movie people got mad cause Pontiac car dealers could not get them yet.It would take up to a year to get one in most midwest states.the 1st car was made in New Jersey it was more of a stunt car then a daliy driver.there are only a couple left .Burt Reynolds was told he would get one for making the film,but GM never gave him one till late 1978,also has one of the movie cars with over 700hp.
