My baby dwarf hamster is sick. She has one eye that is smaller than the other (when she opens it) I just noticed it today. She is still eating...she is just walking kind of funny and breathing really heavy and short breaths...I am so sad and scared to go to sleep...please help. I plan on taking her to the vet in the morning I hope its not too late by then. Please help. Does anyone know what might be wrong?

Give your hamster plenty of food, water, and nesting material. A little tube might help too. It sounds like she is in shock caused by an injury to her leg. Quoting the source below regarding treatment of shock:
"The hamster should be rubbed gently to encourage blood circulation and then placed somewhere warm, dark and quiet.
If the hamster does not recover within a few minutes veterinary advice should be sought. Any injury suffered may also require veterinary treatment."

sounds like an eye infection, probably not cleaning properly. Clean the eye with a clean wet cloth, put saline drops in if you can. Could also be dehydrated or heat stroke. Do you offer fresh fruits and veggies daily? You should be. Offer her some nice juice fruits and veggies. Pinneapple is a good treat, give cucumber a try as well. Make sure she's not above room temp. Has she had her dust bath lately? If not, give that too.
And when you say baby, how young? I assume beyond 3 weeks? Otherwise, the mother will take care of it I'm sure.

Find a vet near you that treats hamsters and take your baby.

Sounds like some sort of respiratory illness. All you can do is pray she makes it through night and take her to vet asap. I hope she will be ok for you

yeah the hamster has a cold, thats what usually happens when hamsters of that type get sick, just give it some bleach or either orange juice mixed with ammonia and it should get better soon

im notsure dear but u shouldnt prolong anymore...try taking her to the vet faster...goodluck..
