To secure water deposits for export to their country? How would you feel about that?

The question is not whether they could, it is if they DID! This is to put YOU in their shoes because we militarily occupy their lands. So how would you feel?

I understand your point -- but the US is not occupying either Iran or Saudi Arabia. A better question would have been - "What if Iraq militarily occupied the US to secure water deposits for export to their country?" Still, you make a good point... even if it is one that I already understood.

It would never happen. It would be a wiser investment for them to acquire an iceberg from Antarctica and power it with engines powerful enough to sail back to the Middle East. With shrinkage, they could still have enough fresh water supply for their needs. If the technology of retrieving water is a success they could corner the market on clearing out dangerous shipping lanes near the southern tip of South America. By the way, an iceberg the size of Rhode Island broke off quite some time ago. Harness that & use it, if possible. What a technological break through that would be. As for occupying the US, it would never happen.

Oh man..., White House will become White Mosque. George Bush will be known as Hajji Bush, Dick Cheney will be Sheikh Cheney,

Hillary Clinton = Hajjah Clinton
State Capitol = State Mosque
Barrack Obama = Mubarak Osama, the son of the Great Alladin of Baghdad!

Ruled ultimately by King Abdullah & all the flamboyant princes and tax free, education and medical free country for everyone!!!!

Isnt that nice?

Muslims are taught to do such things only if they are worthy or prepared for it an unplanned, sentimental , childish step can put you in a lot of trouble. it can end up in a shameful defeat defame
why should they be doing that just to earn insult and hardships for themselves.water has never been a bigger problem then oil that can lead you to such stupid steps

You aren't serious right? With what navy would they invade us? They desalinate all the water they need. What kind of crap are you watching or reading? Besides there are 400 million guns in this country, and a gun shop in every village with ammo for all of them, plus the Wal-Mart. Get real.

IF that were to happen, we'd be bowing to the Ayatollah Dubya and worrying about Mullah Cheney and his roving goons enforcing their religion of enforced financial enslavement.
