i dont think you can get an agressive sporty look with 22s or 17s

I think the wheel size and style are what is gonna give you the look. Tires are the second factor.
Bottom line for agressive sporty "street" look is if it aint 20 or more it aint s**t. If you're going smaller that 20 you're wasting time and money. You make give up some "off-road" capability, but do you really drive it like they do on the commercials? If you do, you want a smaller wheel and bigger off road tires for that type of look.
Try discount tire or tire rack. Both have web sites. I just put some 20's on a '04 Titan (up from 17) and it made a ton of difference on the overall look.
