I tell this to a LOT of people ...

Its not the fine lines that make a woman look older . It's more the texture of the skin , and the skins translucency. T
he microdermabrasion trend is huge right now ..and expensive . But it helps with fine lines because the dead cells on the surface are buffed off and make the skin look luminous . Also with them buffed away they can't settle .

I'm 31 years old , and look early 20's because I had a makeup artists tell me a HUGE secret that changed my LIFE back at 25. I also have the most sensitive skin in the universe...seriously. Neutragena's extra mild face lotion burns when I apply it. I can only use Olay sensitive skin..... and ven I can tolerate THIS minidermabrasion everyday...for about 6 bucks a MONTH.

Here's the secret :

Take some arm and hammer baking soda ( use the brand name , it just works better) , and mix it with cetaphil extra gentle cleanser:
~ wet your face
~ sprinkle baking soda into your palm. Use a pile the size of a dime for everyday use , use more ( the size of a quarter) if your skin is looking a bit dull , or you feel you need some extra smoothing.
~ add Cetaphil. Squirt enough to make a very loose paste about the consitancy of yogurt. make it a thicker paste for xtra buffing.
~ apply to the face and massage gently for no less than 30 seconds.
~ rinse thoroughly with warm water. Rinse again .
~Pat dry and apply your everyday moisturizer.

Think of how great a salt scrub works on your body...this is a salt polish for your face . It's NOT rough , it doesn't nick , scratch, or tear into the skin. Its just gently removes the top-most layer without damage. Like soft-scrub works for porcelain...nothing harsh.

Within 3 days my skin was smoother , the tone became more even with discolorations fading fast, and my skin had that "glow" you just can't get from cosmetics. After a week it wasn't even like "my" skin. It was like getting a brand new face. I rarely wear an actual foundation anymore...

Seriously, I'm passionate about this because it literally changed the way I see myself.

My mother started when I did , and is 56 years old. She easily took 10 years off in about a month. People kept saying she looked like she just came from a vacation ..., and asked (politely) if she had had " something" done.

if it doesn't work , you're only out about 6 bucks. try it and see.

Use a moisturizer for your skin type, (preferably with sunblock), and an eye cream to help crepiness around eyes. Don't forget night cream for face, throat, and eye area. There are also "light diffusing" moisturizers and foundations on the market which help minimize lines by deflecting light. Yves Saint Laurent makes a product called Touche Eclat that is a pen-shaped highlighter with light deflecting capability, great in the circles around the eyes. We like this product a lot. Keep makeup natural and soft, do not use eyeliner under the eye, only on top, as this can draw attention to any lines or crepiness under the eye.

There are plenty of great moisturizers out there: Loreal, Ponds, Oil of Olay, even Avon. Get one and use it every day. Get one with sunscreen, spf 15
