I have very long mens cycles. After tracking my period for a year I've found that my average is 41 days. But I've been known to go up to 50 from time to time. We've been TTC but had no such luck. I've taken one of the home OV tests and got a positive so I believe I am ovulating. Any info on this? Anybody else have such long periods? Did you have trouble conceiving? I'm worried. Maybe this is why we are unable to concieve?

worry is the main cause of not conceiving, relax i am with you, i dont get my period for one year, or may be more, but i have a cute baby now, i had lost hope in the starting thinking i cant conceive due to my period problem, just than my friend told me that she didnt get her periods for 7 years and now she has three children, so it is nothing to do.. you might and are pregnant.. so relax, god bless you...

You should see your OB to find out if you are really ovulating, a blood test would be necessary. It could be PCOS, it's what I have I only range 34 days normally but I've gone 67 before, and yet it does affect your ability to conceive. You may need medication to start your ovulation. I'm going to be put on Clomid thursday to make me start ovulating. Good Luck.

My cycle is about 50 days long, it's genetic for me, all the women on my moms side of the family are that way and they all have had children without trying!

Maybe it's one of the many soldiers on base after your husband shipped out to Iraq.
