The vanilla orchid required an outside germinator to germinate. A very small bee is probably the only germinator in nature. The orchid is only open on 1 morning of the year. How did a system like that evolve? I'm thinking the orchids probably had an ancestor that was germinated by the bees, and it evolved into the vanilla orchid. What do you think?

And then it died out after evolving into the vanilla orchid, and it developed the whole 1 day thing after it's ancestor died out **

all I know about orchids is that they are parasitic
