I have this best girlfriend for 6yrs. We've been through several laughters and fights though we've manage to patch things. But this time its about her hubby. last week i saw him in the mall and asked me a favor not to tell my friend about it..Nervous as he seems that he asked me out to have a couple of drinks so I wont go straight to thier house to tell my friend..Of course I denied his invitation and promised him that I wont tell though I had this dirty thought that he might been doing something wrong..By the way he has history of womanizing..Days gone by and I cant resist to tell my friend about it for I am used tell everything to my friend and not to keep any secrets..In the end,.the guy accused me of ruining thier realationship (Pls I dont intend to but what is he afraid of)though my friend told me that everything will be ok with both of us..And so I am hesitating to end my relationship with them..Its not easy for me to decide whether to continue our friendship or not...

He shouldn't put you in that position. If you were friends with her first, your loyalties should lie with her and he shouldn't expect you to lie for him. However, it's a catch-22 because she'll be mad at you, the messenger, rather than focus it all on him, where she should. This shouldn't end your relationship though. At least someone is looking out for her, even if it's nother husband.

I'd have a problem keeping that relationship going. Too bad but there are just too many issues here. Find a friend that you don't have to keep secrets about her husband. Maybe not even know him. There can't be openness in a "friendship" like you describe, or trust either.

Dear troubled best friend,
You stated that your best friends hubby has a history as a womanizer, if so, how did she react in the past? Assuming she knows he is a dog, did she ever blame the recepient of his ill wanted attention? Personal experience tells me that you'll ineviatebly be blamed by her for wanting him. Therefore, I wouldn't tell if I kept or dropt my best friend. However, dirty dogs always get caught! So if it's eating away at you help her catch him, without her or him knowing what you're up to.

Wow...well you did do the right thing. I don't see why you guys can't be friends anymore. Is she getting rid of her loser of a husband? If she isn't, she should so that way you guys can be better friends again lol. But really, just see what happens with your friendship and if things don't work out, then they don't work out. Looks like it's kind of up in the air.
