Peg Perego makes excellent strollers but their infant seats are not well recommended by car safety advocates and Graco makes excellent infant seats but their strollers are not well recommended by stroller enthusiasts. You do not have to get the same brand stroller and car seat and if you do feel that they have to match please make your choice based on your child's safety and the ease of use for the safety seat. Peg Perego infant seats are difficult to use, Graco and Chicco are easy to use and install but value for the $$ Graco is almost always recommended.

If a travel system is your concern - consider getting a snap & go type of frame for the infant seat and then buy a higher quality stroller once the baby has grown out of the infant seat. Maclaren and Peg Perego strollers are both easily available and high quality.

If money was no object, I'd go for a Chicco, no question. Plus, they are very stylish and not many people have them.

But Graco does give best value for money, and does have some nice patterns.

The Peg strollers are very nice, but the carseats are very narrow and don't tend to hold chunky children for very long.

All three have some great safety features. You want to ensure that any seat you get has a 5 point harness and a front adjuster, and look for one with EPS/EPP foam, as well.

ETA: We went through this when shopping for our own carseat and stroller... we had chosen the Graco SafeSeat, but when our son came home, he was only 4 lbs, and the only seat available locally with a 4 lb limit was the Compass baby seat, so we used that with a snap-n-go seat, until our little guy grew into our Maclaren stroller. I LOVE our stroller.

Graco is good if you want some thing under $200 but if you don't mind paying more the Chicco is the best from what reviews I have read. But your looking at spending any where from $200-$300 for a travel system.

What I did, is I took my 2 best girlfriends and we went to Babies R Us and tried out every single stroller...........we chose the Graco, due to the ease of steering, turning, and also the fact that it was the right height for me. (I am 5'7") I'm sure that people who are much taller or shorter than that will have a different opinion.Just note that after my boy was about 2, I think I used a stroller with him maybe 4 times, other than that, he wants to walk............

I like Graco. Their carseats are usually ranked in the top 5 and I have never had any problems with any of their stuff.

It probably depends on your specific needs. When researching strollers, I found a site that asks questions about your needs in a stroller and picked one for you based on reviews from other parents on the type of stroller you need. I would say graco. They are safe, nice, and not too expensive.
