I just buy a bottle of real lemon juice, put a narrow nose tip on it, and draw a line around the houses base outside walls with it from and the ants avoid the house for the entire season. Same works at picnic, just spray real lemon juice around where you sit and under the cloth or table and they wont bother you.

For indoor problems under the sink, use a little in the corners and along the baseboards and they wont be roaming around the house anytime soon.

Ants become a nuisance when they enter homes. Instead of spending money on costly pest control, you can get rid of ants by removing the food source and using soap water.

Diazninine. Get the powdered form. On a day before light rain is expected, sprinkle it in a solid ring around your house. When it rains, it will soak into the ground. Ants will not cross this ring.

DIATOMACEOUS EARTH: A Non Toxic Pesticide

In houses it can be used effectively to prevent the entry of certain insects such as earwigs, ants, and cockroaches, and to control these and others that are present in cupboards containing food, carpets, basements, attics, window ledges, pet areas (for fleas), etc. In all of these examples it is important to place a small amount of the powder in corners, cracks, crevices. and other areas where insects might hide.

if they are coming in from outside (and they usually are), sprinkle some borax around the perimeter of your home's foundation. It's not the worst chemical in the world, and it does a nice job on the ants.

Ortho makes a liquid, that you put drops onto small pieces of cardboard, that works great. Try taking some sugar out side and placing it away from the house, they should go to it and be happy.

If you have pets or kids, don't use Raid or any of those sprays! Try baking soda spread around the perimeter of your house or email me for an eco-friendly product you can buy online.
