My god. I get shocked EVERY single day. I am so afraid to touch my light switches, my cat, my blankets, doorknobs. Nothing works. I've tried lotion & static spray. Just a second ago, I went to turn off my lamp, and the little thing that you pull produced such a strong shock that it moved pretty hard, and everytime I get shocked there is a lot of blue. How do I stop this!??!?!?

You need more humidity in your place. Short term solution, go run your shower on the hottest water possible and open the door so that your home gets some of the steam.

Long term, you need a cool mist humidifier to introduce the moisture.

Your cat may tip over cups of water if you put them out right now, but if you have a cat free location, try to put out some cups/dishes of water.

The air is to dry in your house. Get a humidifier. Also try wearing different shoes in the house, rubber soles. The friction between your feet and the carpet is causing static electricity

One idea to help this is to take some fabric softener and dilute it. Then put it in a spray bottle and spray your carpets and furniture. This will not only help with the static, but leave the house smell better.
