I guess they watched it. Formed an opinion based on other good movies they had seen and realized it was not a very well acted movie and the story was not very good. I admire the actual "windtalkers" and their contributions to the war effort. But this movie was not very good

From what I remember Windtalkers came pretty much after a few very good war movies. It was a decent war movie, but in comparison to the other war movies which were released within a short time period, Windtalkers was the worst of them all.
It's a decent movie, but in terms of overall plot and character stories, there isn't much. I found the movie to be particularly long. It was enjoyable, though. I'd probably give it a B-.

I like authentic movies and even though this movie was a good action one, there's something I don't like about a WWII GI doing a forward roll w/an M1 and then quickly bayonets a Jap!
That's John Woo for ya! Movie was pretty good, not great like Sav. Pvt. Ryan or Patton or Band of Bros. U know?

People have to like war movies in order to like the movie. I my self don't like them . But I have to face What happens in life. Some people just refuse to know. I have seen some of those movie's and at time's I just turn it off. And at time's I see it to the end. and say that was a good movie to see.

I think people didn't like it because it was overly dramatic, kind of like a soap opera. War movies have plenty of drama already, but this one gets a little overboard. It was an important chapter in our history and I'm glad someone did make a movie about it.

I loved the movie. Personally, I think most people don't care or like history. The think watching a historical movie equates to learning. Therefore any historical movie most be bad.

because they are haters, that was an awesome movie,... as is everything with Nicholas Cage in it.
