Kobe came to play. It's a reason why the fans vote certain players to start. Who were you most disappointed with? Dirk really didn't do anything and I expected Wade to take over for the East since Iverson was gone but that didn't happen. Arenas predicted he would win the MVP maybe he'll zip it up now and just play ball.

Your right, its about time someone pointed it out. Only Lebron and Howard came to play for the East. Anytime Lebron plays he's got his game face on, buzzer to buzzer.
The rest couldn't care less. They just went to Vegas to have a good time and look good. Thats includes Wade who was soooo disappointing.
And Kobe doubled Wade's assist total for the game. Just wanted to point that out.

The lack of quality point guards really settled in. The West had Tony Parker. The East had Billups. Without Kidd, Nash, or Iverson, the pace was really dictated by the shooting guards and small forwards.
One thing to keep in mind, the reason why players don't play hard is because they don't want to get hurt. This is a non-league exhibition game. The league has already been hit with an absurd amount of injuries, so why add more? Not to mention, the all-star game is dominantly for entertainment and highlights.

This years all-star game was plagued with injuries so it was filled with 1st timers. when you have a lot of first-timers they arent used to being as smooth and entertaining. Also in the last 8 years or so there is no defense until a team is down 20 or until the 4th quarter. Also since there are so many stars on one team who are used to holding the ball a lot certain players have to make sacrifices and become an assist man and create plays.When a player isnt hot at first they tend to let the few guys who are on fire be the stars. Thats why guys like d-wade, Dirk, and arenas werent too explosive this year.

I was most disappointed that the comish allowed Snaqeer to start over Howard... Dwight is the beast that Snaq WAS in the last decade. As far as coming to play,... the East players should be ashamed of themselves.

That was the lamest game I have ever seen. No Defense, no effort. It was like watching 6th graders play on 5 foot hoops. remember back in the time when the game was so close it was decided on a Karl Malone basket interference. Those were the times.

Shaq was so rusty, all the players were messing around except for Kobe, who was the only serious player. Kobe is a ball hog!
Wade is much better!
