i am looking for a city that: a) is thriving b)is full of entertainment and cultural activities c) has a sizeable black population (33% or more; not necessarily EXCLUSIVELY black) d) full of educated folks and professionals

i've heard atl and dc are good choices. any others?

I think Charlotte and Raleigh also. Raleigh in fact is supposed to have the best overall job climate in the country.

If you don't mind the south.

go on line and read their daily newspapers.

you will get a feel for what life is like in those towns.

Also try to visit for a long weekend.

Ask freinds and relatives, social organizations for possible contacts/info you can check out. in the respective locations.

My job transferred me to Houston when it was booming. I did not like the heat and the fact that it was so-o spread out.
It wasn't for me. Still,the people were nice and I am glad to say I once lived there..but...I couldn't wait to leave.

you are able to hangs wiff me, i sit down on the porch and beverages malt liqures all days. It like a club of varieties. in simple terms take a lefft on the zippy mart on MLK blvd. an you notice my homestead.

I think Charlotte, NC and Columbus, OH are good too.
