There was a poll conducted a few years back and something around 60% of Americans thought so... Is it still like that?

No, Canada doesn't want to adopt the US. Eww then we'd be like you guys. We don't want that at all. I hope that if North America joins together, I hope Canadians don't have to lose all our braincells to become Americans after all, you don't see Canadians asking if we are part of the US now do we? You people scare us..we think of Americans as people see Homer Simpson working in a nuclear plant...IT'S JUST WRONG!!
How do you people get through high school?? In Canada when someone is as stupid as most of you Americans, they are usually in special ed and tread tires for a living. I guess it's why your minimum wage is so low.

Actually, in educational surveys, over 60% of American students and 20% of their teachers don't even know where Canada is.

I don't know where they conducted that poll, but I've never known any Americans that stupid.....then OR now. However, the state of New Mexico has actually printed USA on their license plates to keep people from thinking it's part of Mexico.

I don't believe that poll. Where did you hear it? Nobody in America believes that Canada is a U.S. state. Now, should it be......maybe that is where the 60% is coming from.

I don't know which poll you were reading, but let me just tell you, both you and the poll are wrong. We don't think Canada is another state.

most americans are aware but some do thing that Canada is a territory or state.

I have never heard anyone say that. My friends & I not only know Canada is not another US state, we do not want it to be a US state. These days after reading Q&A I am not even sure they are allies. My Canadian friends support the US but on here Canadians seem to support Iraq in the war. Sad to see friends turn on you.

Nope. Canada does its own thing, the U.S. does its own.
No big deal. I notice that Canada doesn't seem to have upset nearly as many countries as the U.S.

I have never met any American who thought that but I do know some Europeans who I had to set straight about that.
