which pills r the best for protection when u have sex? when does the girl have to take them (before or after having sex) , how much, and in which time of the period? how does it work???

Best - it depends on your system. You have to try a few and see what you like and what works for you.
Basically, you start on the Sunday during or right after your cycle. 28 days later, you should get another period, although sometimes there is breakthrough bleeding.
Most docs say to use protection through AT LEAST one cycle, others suggest 2-3.
You take the pill daily, but there are other choices as well as pills, but that's a different discussion.
The short version of how it works is that it prevents you from ovulating, which is why most people don't get pregnant.
However, they aren't 100% effective for all people. Only abstaining from sex is 100% effective.

I am on Yasmin. You start to take them the Sunday of your period. Then you take one a day and the pack of 28 will take you right into your next period and then you start the pills all over again on the Sunday of your period. You must take one a day. You can't just take them before or after you have sex. You must take them every day.

you take a pill every day at the same time.
there will be one week where your pills are white. this is the week you should be on your period.
the pills wont be 100% effective the first month so use a condom when having sex that first month of taking the pill.

Im on Yasmin and i just take it at the same time every day. It doesnt matter when u take them. Theyre usually $40 for a months supply for me.
