I'm not sure why you would think that the sex of any other human would determine the sex of your baby. Also I'm not sure what three lines are being refered to nor what type of test. However, health care providers are prohibited from telling the sex of the baby unless sure to an x degree of the sex. If they said a girl, 9 chances out of 10, its a girl.

Three lines show on the ultrasound if it is a girl. the three lines refered to are the vagina. Imagine the shape of the vagina. The two outer lips and the cut in between makes those three lines. Sorry to be so graphic but thats how they see it. A boy has a penis down there so it looks like the shape of a turtle sitting there. LOL and its outwards where as a girl has the inward private part.

3 lines means a girl! I was looking at a website not that long ago.. I really wish I remember what site it was... but if you search for 3 lines gender of baby or something like that you might find it.... it showed other ultrasounds of the baby girls, then of baby boys. the 3 lines are the labia. if they did an ultrasound on you now it would look a lot like labia, but that soon it just looks like 3 lines.

Hope I helped... but I would suggest looking it up too to see the ultrasound pics!

It's interesting that you think that your husband being one of 4 boys would automatically make him more likely to breed boys... my husband has three sisters and no brothers, and he has 3 boys. When people comment on it, I tell them that since I'm one of 3 girls and my husband has 3 sisters, it's up to us to balance the gender numbers in both families. ^_^

The three lines refers to the shape of the vagina that is developing; if it had been a boy, there would be no lines; it's be a stump.

3 lines?? on the ultrasound? I am not sure... could mean that the stenographer need to do a trans-vaginal sonogram to better determen the sex.
