Divorce rate lowest since 2000
The divorce rate in England and Wales fell by 8% last year to its lowest level since 2000, according to the Office for National Statistics.
There were 141,750 divorces in 2005, compared with 153,399 in 2004.
Marriages which ended in divorce were on average lasting a little longer at 11.6 years in 2005, compared with 11.5 the previous year.
Divorces in Northern Ireland fell by 6% to 2,362 in 2005 and in Scotland the drop was 3% to 10,940.
Most divorces were granted to wives, and in more than half these cases, the husband's behaviour was the reason cited.
For men awarded a divorce, the most common reason was two years' separation with consent.
A fifth of people divorcing in 2005 had already had a previous marriage end in divorce.
Men and women under 40 saw the biggest drop in divorces, with cases in that category dropping by 13% and 12% respectively last year in England and Wales.
People in their late 20s had the highest divorce rates of all five-year age groups.
In 2005, there were 27.1 divorces per 1,000 married men aged 25-29 and 28 divorces per 1,000 married women in the same age category.
All age groups experienced a decline, apart from for women aged 60 and over, where there was an increase of 2%.
Divorces in the UK as a whole fell by 7% in 2005 to 155,052 compared with 167,138 in 2004.

That's a depressing thought, being with the same person for eternity. Pagans don't get married, we are Handfasted, it is a sort of wedding ceremony, but only lasts for a year and a day.
Then if we want to part, we do and we go separate ways or we stay together, until we die and return to the Summerlands.

There is only one way you will stay married forever... you have to decide to stay married forever, not decide 'as you go'.

You want a wave of a magic wand or would you prefer advice to follow to make it so?
For both of you:
1)Treet each other as if the other is dying tomorrow.
2)Be truthful to each other and never consider straying.
3)Accept each other for each of your little faults and don't try to make your mate into something that is perfect(it's impossible).
4)Never go to bed too angry to say "I Love You" to each other.
5)Don't just say how much care for each other - show it and do so often.
6)Share the loads of life. Take on each other's responsibilities and enjoy helping in all aspects of your life together.
In other words - Make a written copy of your wedding vows and review them every day(don't just read them - practice them).
Follow the above(both of you) and then yes you will stay happily married for as long as you shall live.

depends... if later you fight and your about to split up and you just dont care, you actually see splitting up as a godd thing. if you are not sexually aroused by him. if you cant trust him, not because he's not worthy of it but because you dont want to. if you feel like just giving up on everything... then no... you wont stay together forever... but if your happy and loving and only ever have eyes for each other, then yes. its all about the heart babe!

According to statistics, If you can ignore his infidelity. Overlook his desire to lie about nothing. Understand that he will not continue to help out around the house. Never bring up the time that he went bowling without his ball two weeks straight. Keep him clueless of your fantasies with the two guys on the episode of "LOST" , chances are .................... you still won't make it.
