Motrin (ibuprofen) which interferes with the inflammatory process of the prostagladins which produce your cramps is more affective. Be sure to drink lots of water.
Sometimes, simple measures are all that's needed to feel better. Cutting down on salt might help reduce fluid buildup. Crawling into bed for some extra rest or sleep is one way to deal with fatigue, and taking along a heating pad or hot water bottle eases cramps for some. Exercising also helps reduce pain and may lift a blue mood as well.
Exercising during menstruation lessens pain because it causes release of brain chemicals called endorphins, which are natural painkillers. Exercise may also decrease pain by affecting prostaglandin metabolism.

pampern works better for me but advil or tylenol will work too. Lay down in fetal position--that helps stop the cramps.

midol is just like advil but instead, it goes straight to your cramps instead of anyother place that might be in pain like advil does. tylenol is not as effective as either, but when worst comes to worst, its better than nothing.

NO. Naproxen Sodium, Aleve is the only effective treatment for cramps- my doctor told me this and it has worked for me I have cramps so bad that I vomit sometimes. Midol has never even worked a little bit. I don't even know why they sell it for cramps.

Read the labels, it probably has the same percentage of the same pain medication as any other pain medication. I use motrin. It hurts like hell the first day, so i take motrin. I take two pills and the pain is gone in about 20 minutes.
I think it's just another way to get your money.

I tried it on two occasions, the first time I tried it worked great. Second time however I found that it did nothing but make my stomach sick. I don't know if it's b/c I didn't have enough food with it or what but decided I would never take it again.

I think it works if the cramping is not severe. Talk to your doctor about it. He may prescribe something that would work better. I found that those thermal heat pads(the kind that you stick on to your underwear) are pretty good in helping cramps.
