I have a t-shirt signed with autographs in Sharpie. The Sharpie was magenta and on the fabric. When I washed the white t-shirt, the magenta Sharpie slightly bled. If the black sharpie isn't on the actually fabric, I suggest going to a website such as, www.flylady.com
Good luck!

A sharpie is an indelible marker which means it will not come out. They are used as laundry markers so they can not be washed out. They are also signed by celebrities and sports stars so they will last. Sorry for the bad news but that's what they are used for. Longevity.

If it was on the cotton fabric it would wash off after being in the washing machine a couple times. But if it's on that plastic decoration material, it may just stick and get warped. But then again it may just come off.
It probably wouldn't bleed. Just smudged. You might not want to wash it with other clothes seeing is how the sharpie ink could get on the other clothes in the washer.

If you have a dollar tree store, or family dollar... go there and get Awesome cleaning spray. It's every bit of what it's name says, and then some!!! It only costs a dollar... and believe me... it works!!! My son had a brand new yellow tee shirt... nose started bleeding... I thought that was the end of that shirt. I sprayed it with awesome... waited just a few minutes... and threw it in the washer.... there was no stain at all!!! Not even a hint of a stain!!
Give it a shot.... it works great on anything. Oh, it won't hurt colors, either.

There are so many types of sharpies that you would have to know if it is permanent marker or paint sharpie etc. So I would e-mail them or call them.
