As long as you move to Poland and never return to the USA, you have nothing to worry about because credit cards have to abide by US rules and Poland, as a EU member state, cannot litigate claims made by a US bank. The banks could win judgment against you but that would apply only to the US - not Poland nor anywhere else for that matter.

There are no treaties regarding collection of foreign debts. So enjoy....

Not really a way to resolve it but a way to prevent it in the future:use debit cards. That's the best way to save yourself from overspending. For now, save your money, sell some of your stuff since you're moving, and only buy stuff you absolutely need. Like food, drink, laundry, bills you need, and lay off the beer, video games, and stop shopping until you get back to Poland.Good luck with that.

If you don't pay, it will ruin your credit regardless of where you are living. Pay what you can pay and do your best. In this day in time, credit card companies will threaten you, but in the end they will work with you if you make an attempt to pay off the debt. At least make the attempt.

They will hunt you to the grave, man..............find a way to make arrangements, or your credit will be ruined.
You don't have to have the $6K NOW, but they will make a suitable arrangement with you where your credit rating will remain intact.
