If I wear mostly Gap and some Abercrombie, AE, etc., but I have an eyebrow piercing and long hair, how will these two differing styles combine to make an impression on someone?

i dont necessarily like stereotypes but if you must want my opinion... i say any one who wears abercombie and American eagle is a prep...with or with out cool hair and piercings.

Well, the piercing and the long hair, they would sterotype you has a hippie or slight punk with long hair, but you do wear Gap and Abercrombie, AE, etc. so you would be stereotyped as a wannabe hippie. Stereotyping is assumption and we our society does not need to assume anything, because it hasn't been doing our society very good. I stereotyped people, when they stereotyped me, I quite.

Personally, if I just saw you on the street and didn't know you, the long hair and piercing would trump the clothing on my first impression. Those are much more permanent choices concerning your appearance. You may have some "excuse" for the preppy outfit.

There is someone who is there own person.
I grew a beard it looks like crap. I figure people can choose to judge me by who I am or how I look.
I am more concerned about how I treat others than my appearance.

sorry id still call you a ******' prep although this does depend also on your personality. theres this girl that wears preppy clothes has cool peircings but is in a soriety shes a prep no question about it
