I like the sound of my married name better, but if I did get divorced, I would go back to my maiden name. That would seem strange, holding on to his name after breaking up with him.

I am divorced and did change my name back, I use my maiden name. Even if I liked my married name at all I would have gone back to my maiden name-- I didn't want anything to do with any of that anymore! Of course, some women keep their married name if they have children. I guess it just makes it easier for them. I guess it's a personal decision each has to make for themselves.

I kept my married name for two reasons:
1. I wanted to have the same last name as my kids.
2. My married name was actually my birth name. My father died, my mother remarried and her husband legally adopted me, so my last name was changed....and then I married a man with the same last name as my deceased father's.

How uncomplicated or stressful that's to alter your call lower back after divorce relies upon on the state you reside in. In my state all you're able to do is only initiate utilising your maiden call lower back, uncomplicated. i think of that is as much as her if she desires to maintain her married call or no longer. while my mom divorced my Dad she stored his call till she married lower back. i'm unsure why she did that, yet my concepts are that that's staggering to have an identical final call as your babies.
