You want to create another world body, minus USA. What is the guarantee that it will succeed? Can you give powers to this body to legislate for the entire comity nations. There is no intention on the part of the people to submit themselves to a single universal government. Even within Indian federal set up, there are several fissiparous and parochial elements that do not see eye to eye with others. The State Governments do not want to abide by the orders of the Supreme Courts and the Ministers defying the High Courts etc. Do you think, the people will be willing to submit themselves to a World government, with or without USA?

The U.N. isn't influenced, enough by the U.S. already they want to do their own thing as it is, with out us. as far as I can see it they can go fly a kite, who needs them anyways their completely useless when you need them to help a situation, they never seem to be willing to do the right thing, it shows their incompetence, I hope your not talking about, having some other World assembly, that'll just snub their noses at the U.S.A. because that would be ridiculous, and very UN American of you why would you snub your nose at your own country, I can understand why you may not like everything the Government does, but you shouldn't turn on the country, because their is a difference you know, I don't like every thing the Government does either, but I love the country I was born in. It's only right that any world power of any kind, should want to be on our good side, we should never feel guilty about having success, at anything. we've learned.

actually the UN is influenced less and less by the USA, they in a way have total control, there is no one in a position of oversight over the UN. they can do whatever they want and no one can really say anything about it. that also on a way gives them no power. hell even the whole "an attack on one is an attack on all" part of the UN Code is no longer upheld. the UN does what it wants when it wants. and it is for those reasons that the USA and any other sovereign country needs to either get out of the UN or there needs to be oversight to regulate the UN.

You've got to be kidding!
The UN is primarily composed of tin pot dictators who hate America and what it stands for. They are politically inept and corrupt.
The only action they are interested in is generating paper and refuse to abide by the very papers they produce.
The despots in the world laugh at the UN but get hysterical when the USA steps up and actually enforce the edicts that they had a hand in producing.

The United Nations should move out of the United States. A better headquarters for an organization dedicated to peace would be Canada.

On the contrary, it is dominated by 3rd world despots. The UN, like its predessor the League of Nations, is a total failure. I think the concept is fundamentally flawed.

Why? None of the ones including the UN have worked. I wish the US would just quit the UN & let the other countries do their own thing. Need cheese to go with your whine.

That's absolute crap.
The UN has done everything it can to resist influence from the US to the point of making decisions just to counter the US whether it was a good idea or a bad idea.

no its not...
so far the only world affair that has really been publicized by the media is the Iraq War..
The UN is no longer allowed to have any control in any post-war Iraqi decisions...
After most of its top officials organized the "Oil-For-Food" program which turned out to be a scam by Saddam's regime and hundreds of top UN security council members which consequently provided Saddam's Regime with over 11 billion dollars in the years after 1996, when Saddams nuclear campaign began to marginally increase.
France and Russia have also lost all vetoing power on post-iraq war decisions... due to their involvement in the scam...
