The cruise line forbids guests from bringing there own liquors. If everyone did so, then they would have to increase the cruise rates and no one wants that!
You can try to sneak it on, but I will forewarn you if they catch you with it, they will take it and you might get it back after the cruise. This is something you have no grounds to get upset at the cruise line for considering if you are caught you did break there rule.
So I say if you want try, just accept penalty if they find out. I know ones who have gotten by it, but I have known more that were caught.
Have Fun!

I just went this summer on a carnival cruise to Cozumel and Jamaica & Grand Cayman. They STRICTLY prohibit bringing liquor onto the ship. You can check it after ur visit to each island on the ship and they will deliver it to you before u check out. They do this so they can make money off of u on the ship and also to monitor the security on the ship.
What we did was this, we bough giant water bottles. Emptied the water...filled it with vodka or a clear liquor and then but it in out bookbags. We wrapped the bottles in a towel. They put the bags through a scanner to make sure u arent bringing weapons on board or obvious liquor bottles but they didnt pick up our water bottles or that of my friend's.
You will have a GREAT TIME!

You are allowed to bring one bottle of wine or champagne on for a "special occasion" per adult. Other than that you will have to sneak it on. Do like what some other people said, bring a big bottle of "water" or empty out a listerine bottle and fill it with amber colored liquor. Just a hint, make sure you rinse the bottles really really well, I put tequilla in a listerine bottle that I didn't rinse out well enough and it tasted like listerine!

You can buy liquor on the islands, but the crew will take it and hold it until the end of your cruise. If you want to bring alcohol on board, you are going to have to sneak it in your suitcase....like in a Listerine bottle.
