no, i feel it is too early, may be you buy somethng now and you dont like it after 5 months, as you can see the things changing in the market..I know you must be very excited and it is fun to shop for your baby, but you can do it in the third semister...

Starting from scratch and buying everything new is very expensive, so yes, I'd go out and buy some of the bigger more costly things first, then start on the smaller stuff.

One small word of advice, when buying diapers, you may only use 1 or 2 packs of the newborn size. I would wait until later on in your pregnancy to buy diapers; your doctor can give you an estimate of how big your baby will be, and from there you can better gage how many packs of newborn diapers to buy (if you need them at all. You may have a big baby and go straight to size 1!)

I bought 2 packs of newborn diapers and 3 packs of size 1's. It'll be very nice not to have to worry about buying diapers for awhile. You'll have enough things to worry about and adjust to.

No, you have time. Plus, wait till after your baby shower to get everything. If you rush now, what will you do when you only have a month left and need something to do to stay busy :) I would, if you want, at least pick out a cute outfit for the baby, or a soft blanket.

It can't hurt to start now. It's easier than buying everything all at once. I would start on the furniture and clothing, and then buy things like lotions, diapers, etc. a little bit later on.

If you want to start early go ahead. You can buy the crib and other big accessories, and later you can get all the little items. congratulations on the baby.

It's entirely up to you. People might say 'wait' because of the risk of miscarriage, but we can't all spend the first 3 months of our pregnancies being convinced that something is going to go wrong. Positive thinking is a wonderful thing!
If you want to knit booties, you go for it!

Most people wait until they finish the 1st trimester as that is the most likely time to miscarry. You can start picking it out, but I would wait a few weeks or whenever it is until you make your second trimester. Congratulations.

the rule of thumb is to wait to do anything until you are past the safe zone, 12 weeks. also if you are going to find out the sex, you may just want to wait so you can buy girly or boy things while you are out
