On average, how many people get to interact directly with each U.S. presidential candidate during a campaign?

If you consider a handshake or a few quick words as interacting the number will average in the thousands & thousands. As the campaigns progress & the races heat up , a typical schedule for a candidate will have from 10-15 appearances per day...every day.
