59-72 days. Did you know that baby guinea pigs are born with hair and their eyes open and look just like big pigs, only smaller?

As her pelvic bone has separated I would get her to a vet if she does not have her pups within 48 hours. Guinea pigs like to have their babies when noone is watching, so late evening or early morning, but try to be there, as you then have a better chance of saving her and the pups if anything does go wrong. That said Guinea pig births are usually problem free. The pups are beautiful, they all look like minature versions of mum, and can run, squeak (a lot!) and eat solid food within a couple of hours! :)
good luck with your babies :)

Cavies (guinea pigs) have a gestation of approximately 68 days, so it could happen very soon or in a few more days. Don't worry, you won't have to assist the birth. Cavy pups are born with fur and open eyes, ready to eat solid food.

Make sure that your mother cavy is alone for the birthing process, though. If the father is in the same cage, he will kill the pups! Just give her a clean cage and fresh water, as well as food and a healthy treat, like an apple slice.

She should have the pups soon. Be warned -- Guinea pigs older than 2 years old should not have pups unless they have had a previous litter. Their pelvises fuse as they age, and older guinea pigs can have difficult deliveries and may need a c-section.

someone answered that she wont need help, this is not totally true as i have raised them myself. if she has had no other litters she may not know what to do and she wont get the babies out of the sacs soon enough. you need to keep a close eye on her and have a small pair of sterile scissors ready to gently cut open the sac yourself.

She will be having them in a few days. Please make sure that someone is with her at all times if possible.

If there is a problem, you've got about a half hour window to get her to the vet before you potentially lose her or the babies.
