the essay is supposed to be about santa clause, (no, thats not a misspelling, my teacher loves tim allen movies) and the films impact on american society.

i tried to ask my teacher how any of tim allen's roles could affect anything on such a large level, but she just did that stupid tim allen "home improvement" grunt.

help me please!

Hide a dookie in your teachers deck. Since she is a fan of such low-brow comedy, she should find this hilarious. Vote Tim Allen for president in 2008. He is concerned with the real issues, like starring in movies that would scare a baby back into the womb.

i agree with the first answer. your teacher is a moron and a big tim allen fan. she should of used a film like Godfather or davinci code. those made a bigger impact on people than tim allens "the santa claus"

I hate to say it, but your teacher is a moron. There are so many really significant films out there and she chose something with totally mindless content. What a shame and a waste of time.
Perhaps if you're brave you can take that angle in your essay. The film's impact is to divert people from the real issues and let them sit in a darkened theater and allow superficial pap to wash over them.
I hope you change to another teacher next semester.

Well,

A. Your teacher is, like everyone else says, a moron

B. You should say it teaches people Christmas traditions. It teaches people how hard it is to be Santa. It helps kids believe in Santa Clause, which will make them nicer so they can get presents.

watch the movie and tell her you were so deep in thought about this compelling topic, that you did not know which analytical perspective you should take. how it taught so many children to provoke the belief in santa clause? or is there really a problem with santa claus?
