I totally agree with you that is why the Republicans have resorted to all of the Anti-news media and party bashing. They want the American population to submit to this new World order while the sheep were sleeping. If you keep the population in prison and uneducated, it's easier to overtake the Nation. I am completely sure the drug trade has a lot to do with this also. Drug trafficking has increased 50% while the Republicans have been majority in office. Look at the 25 million Latinos Bush allowed into the Country with the drugs. Haven't you ever heard the ploy Anarchy? This is what the Conservatives are serving America with their politics right now with hate and fear propaganda. This was also the diagram Hitler used to become Chancellor of Germany to create the Nazi Party which were far right wingers. The Patriot act is treasonous and UN-Constitutional with the rights of search and seizure. I'm sure you hear Republicans referring to the ACLU a lot, and it is to discredit search and seizure laws they protect in America. The Republicans whole routine is to discredit others to promote their own agendas.

This country is NOT a Democracy. Intentionally not, in order to protect our individual Rights. Government must perform certain duties despite the effects of propagandists on the population.
During WWII, our government restricted the press, enforced blackouts, arrested those who spoke of military activities, snooped mail and phone conversations, all to combat an enemy hungry for information and vulnerabilities. It worked. We won.
We are in a similar situation now, with an enemy embedded among our population seeking information and weaknesses that can be exploited. All I am seeing from the Democrats is efforts to ensure those weaknesses are publicized to be exploited.
If Democrats want to defend America, then SHUT THE HELL UP and let's do what it takes to DEFEAT the all too obvious enemy.
The future of your children will be very unpleasant if Islamist aggression, currently attacking nations all over the world, gets a secure foothhold here.

I think it is populists against globalists....
However, I think the thing to do with that particular act is to get it before the Supreme Court and let the government try to convince 5 of 9 Justices that blanket suspension of habeus corpus against legal aliens is constitutional.
I agree that rights have to stand against the 'popular' or they aren't rights at all.

I've been trying to do the same thing for two months now and it's clear that the level of ignorance on YA is beyond belief. These losers choose to remain ignorant and be led around by the nose by a group of ultra rich self proclaimed neo-conservative, reactionary statists who's only goal is US total domination of the world through military superiority. Read the PNAC's literature and it's plain to see what their true motives are. But asking these sheeple to read anything without being told by Rush or Hannity and What'shisname that it's OK is like trying to brush the ocean back with a broom. There is a cure for ignorance, it's called knowledge, but that requires having a mind of your own and an opinion that hasn't been made for you. It has been said that a fool is a man who won't believe what is right in front of him. There is an abundance of them here.

Kelly, I am totally with you. This ignorant feedback that you are reading here so far is the total proof that most people are still living in a bubble and in denial. Is this country not falling into a downward spiral? When are we going to stop being treated like a bunch of puppets? Kelly, what do you suggest people do? Most people are too ignorant or stubborn or afraid to even do anything... Protest? Maybe we need mass-protests like they do in some countries of Europe. OR maybe we just need a totally different party. Maybe Socialism or Communism wouldn't be such a bad idea.
