When I was in school our driver had assigned seating. We got star stickers on our name cards (located above the window of our seats) for good behaviour, and she covered them up when we were bad. (white sticky dot stickers). We could trade 5 stars for a treat out of a box with toys and candy every friday. So if you were good all week, viola, a new treat. If not, you got to watch everyone else enjoy their reward while you sat empty handed. Worked on our bus.

Stop the bus or turn it around. Most kids are terrified of being left somewhere or even of being tardy to school (if it's the morning). Another thing they did for us was have us each fill out a form so they could call our parents or report us if we misbehaved. The form outlined the rules and we had to sign to show we understood them.

Our bus driver used to stop the bus and make us sit there beside the road for a few minutes.

If the kids don't listen, it's time to get stricter. Try the things that the girl "THE" said. Also, notify the childrens' parents so the kids know how serious it is.
