Yes the numbers are the first few numbers of the Fibonacci sequence. The next number could be any number one wanted it to be.
for example:
Suppose the sequence was the solutions to the following equation in ascending order
x*(x-1)*(x-1)*(x-2)*(x-3)*(x-5)*(x-8)*(x-13)*(x-21)*(x-34)*(x-55)*(x-89)*(x-90)=0

Then the next number would be 90
