i just bought a goldfish 1 day ago at petsmart.there was about 20 or 30 fishes in the tank and it looks pregnet any sugegestions?

Fancy goldfish are always very fat, but even if it were "pregnant," It doesn't really matter anyway, because goldfish lay eggs and it isn't until after the eggs are lain that the male fertilizes the eggs and if you don't have a male, your eggs won't get fertilized and that means they won't hatch anyway. So, if your fish is a female and does lay the eggs, the best thing to do is remove them so they don't die and foul the water.

goldfish are fat! goldfish are egg layers and there is the remote chance it could be full of eggs but it is doubtful considering goldfish are kind of picky at breeding conditions. a tank at petsmart wouldnt put a female goldfish in the mood.

Keep her suffciently fed and put in lots of plants so she wont eat the babies when they hatch
