I have three children, ages 16, 13 and 8. They been acting in community theatre and the like all their lives basically. They have the desire, drive and discipline to do this professionally, and I would like to help them to pursue this. Where do I start? How do I find out about auditions in New York and elsewhere?

Buy Ross Reports...it's a tiny magazine where you can find serious talent agencies..some are specialized in young people.

There's lots of good information at:

You can find New York auditions posted in Backstage - but from what I've read, you'd really be best off submitting to agents. They'll have access to casting breakdowns that you don't, and they'll be able to advise you on how to help your kids further their careers.

Good luck!!

Make sure your kids have a professional acting resume of the productions in which they have appeared with speaking roles.
